Dr Jennie Rose is Senior Research Fellow Community and Public Health, in the Sustainable Health Research Centre at Anglia Ruskin University. Her research is concerned with understanding and improving the health and well-being of parents, their infants and children. Working with Professor Sarah Redsell and a team of other researchers and clinicians, a particular focus has been overweight and obesity prevention during infancy. Other research explores the health effects of loneliness during pregnancy and early motherhood, and public involvement in research and how this can help to address health inequalities. Her research interests draw on experience gained working with families in early intervention programmes in schools and as a mentor for families with children on the child protection register.
