Reshma is an associate in Burges Salmon’s Food and Drink team and advises clients across the sector on regulatory issues and dispute resolution.

Reshma advises food and drink businesses on a wide variety of regulatory issues, including food safety, food labelling, health and nutrition claims, allergen information, advertising standards and the Groceries Supply Code of Practice. She represents clients facing enforcement proceedings by regulatory authorities for breaches of safety, labelling and hygiene laws and is experienced in dealing with criminal regulatory matters, including prosecutions and investigations by Trading Standards.

Reshma also advises clients in the food sector on commercial and contractual disputes, including supply chain and manufacturing disputes. She provides advice on all aspects of food law to assist clients in complying with their obligations under food regulations and to assess their exposure to the risks of non-compliance. She also assists clients in managing risks arising from product liability issues, including advising on product recalls and withdrawals and liaising with enforcement authorities.

Reshma is a solicitor-advocate and is a member of the Food Law Group.
